Del Monte Foods has reported net sales of $1bn for the third quarter of fiscal 2010, an increase of 7.5% compared to $942.3m for the same quarter previous year.
Chiquita Brands has reported net sales of $879m for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2009, a decrease of 5% compared to $839m for the same quarter previous year.
Harrods has partnered with seasonal brand, From My Farm, for the launch of its range of seasonal produce on February 19, 2010 which were produced by growers and farmers in the East of England throughout the year.
Fresh King, a grower and shipper of tropical and exotic fruits and vegetables, has said that it plans to expand shipments on CHEP pallets in the near future. The grower said that it witnessed customer service improvements from the use of the CHEP pallet pooling system.
China Nutrifruit Group has reported sales of $17.8m for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009, an increase of 28.4% compared to $13.9m for the same quarter previous year.
Riveridge Produce Marketing has said that its Red Prince apple will now be available in retail outlets until May. The Red Prince originated on the German/Holland border in 1994 and is a cross between a Jonathan and Golden Delicious.
